Former Festivals
You can find information, programs and pictures from former LitteraLund Festivals here.
LitteraLund has taken place six years in a row now, since 2005, and the seventh is on its way... The first two festivals took place in early September. The major part of the programme was held outdoors in the park of Lundagård under a lovely autumn sun.
The first festival ever, in 2005, resulted in a fantastic week with a big finale with many public events during the final two days. People in Lund were eager to take part in a festival focusing on the book. Approximately 4000 visitors were counted the first year. The second year, 2006, the visitors were counted to 5000. The conference for adults working with children's and youth literature was formed 2006 and counted 900 visits (approx. 250 visitors). The first two years of LitteraLund formed a platform for what LitteraLund has become today. 2007 was a record year, LitteraLund had more visitors than ever before, and the festival could be seen all over the news papers and on national television. 2008 the festival started arranging exciting events during the year, as well as the big festival week in October. Among other things, the australian author and recipent of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award Sonya Hartnett visited Lund. 2009 the festival celebrated its 5 year aniversery, with a wonderful new poster which several amazing illustrators contributed to with their images. 2010 was yet another success, with over 7000 visits to the festival week! 2011 we are moving towards new, exciting goals, and LitteraLund will be more present in Lund during the whole school year, with events, projects and the festival on a new date: 16-21st of April 2012!
